Potty training is expensive!
Well we finally found what'll work to convince Matthew to use the potty: Kinder Surprise Eggs. EACH time he uses the potty (actually does something, not just sit!) he gets an egg. Now before any of you gasp and try to flame me, ask yourself which is more important: the kid using the toilet or not bribing him. He's 3 years old now and at this rate he won't be trained til he's 30. These things are not cheap (can't give you a price cuz Chris keeps throwing out the receipts) but I'm guessing it costs about $1.50 or more for each successful trip to the can! At this rate he'll have to choose toilet training or college cuz I don't think we can do both. So if anyone has any coupons for these things could you please pass them along? I tried their website (www.kindersurprise.com) but alas they don't even give you that option. On the plus side he's more interested in the toys than the chocolate so there's another reason for me to get excited everytime he uses the potty. I can finally have chocolate multiple times a day! Hmmmm...
Hey Matthew, do you have to use the potty????

Chrissy, why don't you try getting those empty plastic eggs that are out right now for Easter - a pkg. is 99cents for 12 - and fill them with little candies and/or toys, changing the contents each time. Far more economical.... Good luck!

I was going to suggest the same thing. You can go to the party supply store or dollar store and get stuff to fill them up.

Costco is your friend... I think I remember seeing bulk packages with 12 or 24 eggs. I have to think that would be cheaper then buying them individually or in 3 packs.
Lucky for us Riley takes 1 jelly bean each time he pees and 3 for a poop. I think we need to increase the poop reward since it hasn't been working. But for pee it worked like a charm.

Yeah I was going to suggest Costco as well but the empty egg thing is good. Only problem is you have to keep stuff on hand that he likes and you don't.
If it makes you feel any better, nothing worked for Avery until he was damn ready to do it himself, as you know he also has to announce it to the world every time he goes poop too (damn speaker phones!) I would say try and be patient but that would make me a hypocrit so I will just say GOOD LUCK!
