No birthday party

OK so I guess it doesn't make sense to have a party and blow all that money for a child who doesn't really understand what it's all about. So we've decided to suspend birthday parties til Matthew's about 5 years old, when he has some school chums and when the kids will be old enough that the parents can just drop them off and not feel like they have to stay to protect their kids. Honestly our house really is too small for all the kids and adults so we gotta make some sacrifices. And really it was Mommy who wanted a party, not Matthew. But we will have a cake on his birthday so we can sing him the Happy Birthday song and he can blow out the candles. And so I can start practicing making cakes for when he has real parties again.
