We love you Granny
It's with great sadness and a heavy heart that I announce the sudden passing of Matthew's beloved Granny (my Mom) on Thursday, January 12th. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and wife who took great pride in her family as we all did in her. As sad as I am that she was here for only 2 years of Matthew's life, they were filled with laughter, love, hugs and kisses and for that I am truly grateful. And as Matthew cuddles with Dankie, his favourite blanket that she made for him, he'll be cuddling with his Granny again too.
We love you and miss you very much Granny. Rest in peace.

What a touching post Christine. I posted on the board, but I'll also post here how sorry I am to hear of your mom's passing. I'm sending warm thoughts your way. Take heart that Matthew will always remember her, deep down. He may not have clear memories of her, but he's been touched by her love.

Chrissy, words cannot possible express how I feel for you and your family. Please know that I am here for you (in what-ever capacity you need me). Your mom was like my "adoptive mother" and I shall miss her dearly as well! She welcomed me into your home and family in high school with open arms. She treated me just like a daughter and was always there for me! My heart breaks for you, your father and your sisters. I know how close your whole family was and how loving Granny Evans was to everyone! She was a wonderful person and will be sadly missed! I am thankful that I have been blessed by knowing her!

"You don't die, you go on to a better place dear"
Words of wisdom from a dear friend and "mom" Gwen Evans.
Matthew may not remember his Granny as much as he gets older but with family and friends to keep her memories alive she will be with him always.
Take Care
