Socks with sandals on my baby!!!!!!!

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I'm surrounded by relatives, including my own husband, who think it's OK that Matthew wear socks with sandals. How can people not know that this is just not right? Do they not read fashion pages of People magazine or listen to the jokes on talk radio or anything? It's one thing if you're in your 70's or 80's, but I don't want my baby starting off his life with these fashion faux-pas. He'll have enough to deal with in therapy without this on the list!

Sandals are for days when it's too hot to wear socks and regular shoes. If your feet need to breathe, that's what the cutouts in the sandals are for; they let in the breezes and cool off your feet. To put socks on is counterproductive. Plus the cutouts let the dirt in and get the socks dirty, and then I have to try to get those darn stains out.

Folks out there, I need your help. My husband and family need to see that it's not just me who thinks this is a no-no. Let's take a poll and see what the survey says. If indeed it looks like socks and sandals are OK, then I'll admit defeat and never speak of it again but I can't see this happening.
