Portion sizes for toddlers

I must advise everyone that just because your baby or toddler continues eating a particular food beyond the recommended serving size doesn't mean you should continue to feed him/her this particular food. Case in point: after feeding Matthew his dinner tonight I decided to give him some fruit - apples and blueberries. Sounds harmless right? But it was in one of those big jars, and he just kept eating and eating til it was gone (granted I helped him out a little but my few spoonfuls didn't amount to much). I paid for it in spades about 30 minutes later with the most gawd-awful poopy diaper I have thus far had the misfortune to change. Damn blueberries! You could smell him from across the room, it filled his diaper and spilled out onto the leg, and he even crapped UPWARDS! Moms of girls have no concept of how difficult it is to clean poop off a penis and scrotum sac! Not to get graphic or anything, but there seems to be more crevices for poo to hide on boys and the more attention spent on that particular area the more they seem to enjoy it and then you have a whole other problem on your hands that could send you screaming to a shrink! Consider yourselves warned and stay away from blueberries.
